(Frequently asked questions)

Question:

When did Campground open?

Doors opened in October 2022 after a year and a half of work. Our coffee service was added in 2024. We are always in the process of fine-tuning the experience, and we welcome all feedback and suggestions on how to improve your visit.

Question:

Where does the name come from?

In the 1870s the town of Sea Cliff was founded as a Methodist summer campground for weary New Yorkers looking to escape the city. 150 years later a bunch of newly-suburban beer lovers looking to escape the city opened a spot, and Campground was its name.

Question:

Can I bring my kids to Campground?

Yes, kids and families are very welcome at Campground, but after 7PM they’re better off in bed than a bar. 😀

Question:

Do you have outdoor space?

We kinda do, but are unfortunately not allowed to use it due to bureaucratic nightmares. The fight continues, and we hope that the village of Sea LCiff will one day realize community gathering places are what bring us together.

Question:

Is there parking at Campground?

Yep. We have 6 spots in our lot as well as 2 municipal parking lots within a block radius. There is always plenty of street parking on the streets around us.

Question:

Can I reserve a table at Campground?

Nope. While it’s first come first served; If you have a larger group coming or want to arrange a special get-together, email us here to learn about our private party packages.

Question:

Nope. We offer a menu of hot food and snacks on premise and if you have a larger group or event—we have amazing catered options for you to chose from.

Can I bring in outside food?

Question:

Are pets allowed at Campground?

Although we love our furry buds, we are prohibited by the Health Department to have any pets on premise. Service dogs, identified by wearing a service dog vest or tag, that have been individually trained to perform a specific task for individuals who have disabilities are allowed as the law requires.
